It was twenty years ago that the Ellenbrook Eels first battled Swan Valley in the Hills Football Association. The players from both teams signed the game ball and so began The Battle of the Burley. Since those days, we have grown from one Sunday League team, into Three Senior Men's Teams, One Colts Team, One Senior Women's Team and a Masters Team.
This year we invite all past players, supporters, Old Bulls, Sponsors, members, family and friends of the Ellenbrook Eels to come celebrate our Past Players Day in 2024.
Past Players are welcome to join the festivities in the HKY Can Bar where you will receive some complimentary beverages and nibbles on behalf of the Eels. Other planned event details are:
* The Battle of the Burley between Swan Valley and Ellenbrook Eels League side (starts at 2.40PM)
* The Future of the Eels, our Colts playing the Valley in a Night Game
* All of our guernseys on display, a majority of which were proudly donated by Life Member, Bob 'Magic' Schnaars
* Photos (actual printed ones from a roll of film!) and paper news articles from yesteryear, including our demountable days at Coolamon
* Catching up with friends and family and telling stories of days past
* Raffles and much much more
The canteen will be open thanks to the Ellenbrook RSL.
