Ella Marie er en samisk artist og aktivist fra Tana i Finnmark. Gjennom syv år som frontfigur i bandet ISÁK, har hun blitt hyllet for sin energiske scenepersonlighet og lidenskapelige formidling av joik. I 2024 debutert Ella Marie som soloartist på Riddu Riđđu og Øyafestivalen, med tidløs og kraftfull popmusikk på nordsamisk.
Hun fikk sitt nasjonale gjennombrudd i 2018, da hun gikk av med seieren i Stjernekamp. Med over 245 millioner avspillinger på Spotify og samarbeid med artister som Alan Walker, turnerte Ella Marie hele verden med ISÁK frem til 2023. Hun har brukt musikken sin til å kjempe for samiske rettigheter, og er blitt en fanebærer for samisk stolthet og kultur. Hun er i dag også anerkjent som en av de fremste aktivistene og rettighetsforkjemperne i Skandinavia, etter flere årelange kamper for å beskytte samiske landområder.
Ella Marie er også kritikerrost skuespiller, forfatter og podkaster. I tillegg til å ha figurert i flere dokumentarer. Hun har mottatt en rekke priser som Áillohaš musikkpris, Fritt Ords Honnør, Nordic Pioneer Prize, Zola-prisen og Årets By:larmer.
Så langt i 2024 har hun gitt ut fire singler og jobber nå med sitt debutalbum. På nyåret legger hun ut på turné med bandet sitt i hele Skandinavia. Med i bagasjen er storslagne låter, et hav av følelser og sterke budskap, men mest av alt en enorm stolthet over den rike, samiske kulturarven.
