The Lerner Theatre is having a birthday, and your Elkhart Municipal Band is joining the celebration. We have many special plans for this concert. Including a newly commissioned piece by Dr Onsby Rose, narrated by Elkhart’s Mayor, Rod Roberson, all about the history of The Lerner Theatre. We are featuring works and composers that were popular in 1924, including Vaughan Williams and Jaime Texidor. Our concert will conclude with George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring Elkhart’s own Celia Weiss on piano. A grand celebration and a great time will be had by all in attendance. This is a free concert and will begin at 3:00 PM.
