Dear EMHS Class of 2004,I hope this message finds you well. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of our 20-year class reunion. After careful consideration and assessing ticket sales, we’ve come to the difficult decision that we simply couldn’t move forward with the event this time.
Unfortunately, the change in date led to us being scheduled on what turned out to be a particularly challenging weekend. Many of our classmates had prior commitments, including fall break travel plans, kids’ sports tournaments, marching band competitions, birthday parties, and a variety of community events. We truly appreciate everyone who reached out, and responded to our messages, to share their schedules with us; your feedback was essential in helping us make this difficult decision early, preventing significant financial burden.
Please note, any ticket purchases will be refunded today. You should see the funds returned to your account within 3-5 days. Additionally, if you made any hotel reservations at Hotel Elkhart, you can cancel those without penalty.
Please know that our volunteer reunion planning committee is genuinely disappointed, especially after all the hard work and enthusiasm that went into organizing this event. However, we’re excited to propose a more casual get-together in the future, with a date to be determined. Perhaps we can consider it our first-ever “21st Class Reunion” since the 20th just couldn’t take flight.
Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in reconnecting. We look forward to planning a relaxed gathering where we can catch up and celebrate our time together. Stay tuned for more information!
