Wayfarers presents a journey of folk and friendship, culminating with Eliza Delf & The Wilderness! ✨
Eliza and her 5-piece band will be showcasing music from her remarkable debut album Into the Wilderness, released to widespread acclaim in 2022, as well as introducing new material destined for her eagerly-anticipated follow-up album. Eliza’s music joyfully trespasses across the carefully constructed genre boundaries of indie, folk, and progressive art rock, whilst leaving a trail of comparisons with Kate Bush, Florence Welch, and Tori Amos in her wake. Flair, virtuosity, subtlety, and creativity are the hallmarks of their live performance – all underpinning the superstar vocals of Eliza. At times hushed and fragile, at times soaring and spine-tingling, at all times captivating – Eliza commands the stage and enchants the audience.
Murmurations are a folk inspired musical flock, from Norwich, UK. Formed of four female musicians, the group combines Irish Bouzouki, mandolin, cello, flute and harmonium to create what has been referred to as ‘music for the moors’. With intimate storytelling, sweet harmonies and powerful instrumentation, Murmurations come together to share something bigger than the sum of their parts.
Maple Ward is an acoustic singer-songwriter based in Norwich. Her songs are known for their raw honesty and vulnerability. Maple’s effortless tonality softens the darker lyrical narratives of her music, which explores the interplay between nostalgia and the trials of growth. She performs regularly across East Anglia, gracing the stages of Latitude Festival, First Light Festival and the Norfolk and Norwich Festival.
Jim Holland is a singer-songwriter, blending English folk revival with traditional American music. He combines intricate fingerstyle guitar with thoughtful lyrics about everything from loss to deforestation. Taking inspiration from 60s and 70s greats, as well as early train blues, Jim's lyrical approach to songwriting has been likened to Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. Jim has performed across the UK, Europe and America. He was recently featured on BBC Politics East, performing a beat-inspired political song, Parliamentary Blues.
