Irregular Fieldcraft — Trained to Live Off Nature’s Land📅 Date: TBD
📍 Location: TBD
⏱ Duration: 2 Days / 1 Night (Overnight Field Exercise)
About the Event
Most survival courses start at Wilderness Survival 101.
This one doesn’t.
Elite Survival: Foundations of Fieldcraft is the entry-level course for the Irregular Fieldcraft training progression. This immersive, in-person program is designed to build real-world field competence through applied skills, sound decision-making, and adaptability in natural terrain.
This is not a classroom course and not a gear showcase. Training takes place entirely in the field, where the environment becomes the primary instructor.
Course Focus
Participants will learn and apply foundational survival and fieldcraft principles, including:
Shelter selection and construction based on terrain and weather
Firecraft for warmth, signaling, and sustainment
Water procurement and purification
Basic land navigation and terrain association
Load management and energy conservation
Field hygiene and sustainment
Environmental awareness and decision-making
After-Action Reviews (AARs) to reinforce learning
Instruction emphasizes principles over tricks, thinking over memorization, and adaptability over comfort.
Overnight Field Exercise
An instructor-guided overnight bivouac is a required component of the course. Participants will establish shelter, manage heat and sustainment, reassess conditions after dark, and conduct a structured morning review.
This overnight component is what separates this course from standard “101” offerings.
