Elevating Educators: Career Connections for Professionals in Education

Based on the text Elevating Educators: Career Development for Professionals in Education, our seminar(s) aim to develop a forum for educators to connect and socialize on a range of topics; both personally and professionally.

A sample of activities from the Elevating Educators text will be used to introduce new topics and lead discussions that allow you to reflect on your life and your career. We create a sacred space for you to make career choices that are not only aligned to what your district, school and students need most, but also your pursuits and plans.

Our seminars cover diverse topics that allow us to continue developing as professionals, but also venture into new terrain; not always found in traditional trainings and seminars.

We offer this seminar online. Annual Membership is $45. Our membership allows you to attend our monthly sessions for the year (September - May). We hold weekly sessions on Wednesdays at 5pm.

OBJECTIVES

The goals of Elevating Educators Seminars are centered on developing or learning about:

A) Spaces for teachers to discuss their classroom, curriculum, co-workers, and careers, and receive resources to complement the three C's.

(B) Places to converse over principal, parents and pupil needs or demands.

(C) Strategies to support teachers in engaging students and raising academic achievement

(D) Methods to support ourselves and students in organizing for success, goal setting, monitoring progress

(E) Supplements to aid parents in incorporating learning during after-school, recreation, or family time

(F) Opportunities to develop professionally, while candidly discussing career goals and needs

(G) Learn about new texts that support school, student, and teacher growth, as well as tools to organize, optimize, and enhance success.

(H) Making Space for our personal pursuits while implementing professional plans.
