Speaker bio:

As the Director of GC Business Growth Hub, Janine specialises in securing and successfully leading multi-million-pound business support contracts, projects, and programmes both in the public and private sectors, mostly in and for Greater Manchester.

The GC Business Growth Hub in Greater Manchester is accountable to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the Local Enterprise Partnership and supports the whole Greater Manchester business community to be more productive, more prosperous, greener, and fairer.

Janine was recognised as one of Manchester’s Women of the Year, 2018, in the top 100 Inspirational Women for Greater Manchester in 2017, Business Enabler of the Year in 2015 and Networker of the Year in 2012. Proud Lancastrian, former teacher/lecturer and involved in the family business, Smiths’ Fresh Produce, which has been trading for more than 80 years in the Accrington/Blackburn area. Experienced Board member - currently sitting on Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business and Law School Advisory Board and Manchester City Council’s Work and Skills Board and former Board Member of Accrington and Rossendale College.
