About this Event
The FCC approval process for wireless devices ensures compliance with U.S. standards for electromagnetic compatibility, safety, and RF exposure. Key steps include defining initial design and RF specifications, conducting pre-compliance testing to address potential issues early, formally registering with the FCC, and selecting an authorized test lab for compliance testing. Finally, test reports and required documentation are submitted to a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) for approval before the device can enter the U.S. market. This rigorous process applies to both licensed (e.g., cellular) and unlicensed (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) technologies, ensuring safe and lawful operation.
Available to registered CES attendees only.
