This is a space for all forms of electronic music including: dance, ambient, noise, electropop, techno, glitch, electrojazz, chiptune, hip hop, loopers, improvised, live coding, trance etcMeet other electronic music makers, share ideas and collaborate. There will be ample time and space to discuss this form of music making. Laptops, synths, drum machines, loop stations, groove boxes, sequencers, samplers, iPads, modular synths, keyboards, decks, analogue and digital devices of all kinds welcome.
Slots are up to 15 minutes, with an allowance of 5 minutes for set up and pack down. If we run out of slots, priority will be given to Newcastle/North East based artists. Get in touch with James by email ([email protected]) for more details.
The Star and Shadow should be able to accommodate most artists, and has previously hosted various electronic music events. However, if a contributor wants to use anything they'd consider particularly unusual or 'specialist', please ask.
There is a 10K PA in the venue DCP projector and a regular projector. 32 channel mixing desk, at least 8 speakers and 4 monitors powered and unpowered Mics DI boxes and assortment of XLR cables.
