ELECTRIC SUMMER SESSIONS - Heaven 17 & Nik Kershaw live in TAUNTON

INTRODUCING.....'ELECTRIC SUMMER SESSIONS'....a primer (aka, warm-up!) for the main festival taking place next day....
After their outstanding ES26 performance (and more than a few outstanding feedback comments we saw about it), we decided to invite HEAVEN 17 back to headline their own show in Vivary Park...and play for longer! They'll be treating us to a 90-minute set blending hits and less familiar tunes from their back catalogue after we've all been superbly warmed up by fellow 80s legend NIK KERSHAW and his band. The evening gets underway courtesy of MONAUX, a local group that comes across "like a female fronted DEVO, or a surfy Human League", and who'll be treating us to a "double synth, theremin and vocoder attack"! WE CAN"T WAIT!
Gates will open at 1700 for this one, with MONAUX on at around 1800, NIK KERSHAW at 1915, and HEAVEN 17 at 2050. The show will end at around 2220 ahead of a strict curfew at 2230. All timings are approximate apart from those for gates opening and curfew.
There won't be any seating provided for this show, but just like last year's main event on the Sunday, please feel free to bring a folding camping chair (just don't plonk them right at the front, please - your neighbours won't be pleased!!).
If you don't fancy the idea of lugging around a camping chair, then why not treat yourself to a VIP ticket? You'll get:
- a separate ticket scanning lane
- an exclusive covered marquee with a fantastic view of the nearby stage, its' own pay-as-you-go bar, an outside paddock, and direct access to a dedicated front-of-stage standing area
- a guaranteed seat: no need to bring that folding camping chair!
- a token which can be exchanged for one alcoholic beverage at the VIP bar
- a dedicated toilet (including an accessible facility) only for VIPs' use
- complimentary soft drinks and hot beverages
VIP will be limited to around 200 people, so don't hang about if you're tempted!
There'll be numerous food & beverage options available throughout the evening, and just like at ES26, prices will be reasonable!
With the NORDOFF & ROBBINS MUSIC THERAPY CHARITY receiving a donation from every ticket sold, this is going to be a fun, fantastic evening in aid of a very worthy cause - it's the perfect warm-up for next day's ELECTRIC SUMMER festival in the park!
