Electric Ex - Album Release Party

Electric Ex plays an infectious strain of dance rock with punk energy and prog adventurism. Formed during the pandemic, they're on a mission to bring the party to San Francisco and beyond. Their debut LP, "Analog Therapy," captures Electric Ex's crowd-moving stage energy with 10 vibrant, original tracks recorded exclusively on a 1970's tape machine. The songs draw on influence spanning from 1960's garage rock, 70's art rock and new wave, and recent years' indie rock and electronica.

Originating at San Francisco State University, Elephant Garden began performing for local house parties and smaller clubs. After 2 years of shows in San Francisco, they released their first single, “Nosferatu” to much acclaim. The bands’ sound can be described as “garage-rock with a mix of psychedelia and funk”. Their debut album is slated for release later this year.

Patrick King Most's life truly revolves around music. He is a well-respected DJ and producer, known throughout the Bay and beyond. DJing since he was a teen, he continues to evolve thanks to his discipline and commitment.

With a steady output of original remixes that he's branded "Redirections," King Most's music can be found in the sets of celebrity DJs and everyday selectors, as well as on radio stations like BBC and KCRW, and on Apple music. He’s also spun at high-profile events across the country, including for art institutions (SF MoMA, The Getty Museum) and at other cultural happenings.

Come early to see Raymundo Valdez's Prismatic City: Landmarks in Light, a solo art exhibition showing the city as it lives: layered, luminous, & constantly changing. The show is on view at KALW’s Live Event Studio Art Gallery through April 10.

There is a $10 - $20 sliding scale suggested donation for this event. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.

• The event space is just to the left of the main entrance to the Mills Building at 220 Montgomery Street
• We recommend taking BART/MUNI, exiting at Montgomery, and walking two blocks north
• Ride-shares can drop off and pick up directly in front of the venue
• If you drive, there are several garages within two blocks of the event location; free street parking is available across from the venue at 7:00 pm
