The ELECTRI_CITY Conference is taking place for the 11th time in Düsseldorf and we are going back to the beginnings of Punk in London.
We love everything DIY and will discuss the original first Punk movement on the King's Road, in Camden Town or at the Roxy.

Stephen Colegrave, archivist, author, and cultural historian, presents the definitive insider account of British punk. John Robb – Punk & Goth
John Robb, musician, broadcaster, and one of Britain’s most distinctive cultural commentators, is the author of the acclaimed Punk: An Oral History and the newly released Goth: A History. Die ELECTRI_CITY Conference findet in diesem Jahr zum 11. Mal in Düsseldorf statt, und wir gehen zurück zu den Anfängen des Punk in London.
Wir hatten schon einmal das Thema 'King's Road' und 'Women in Punk' ausgiebig zur Conference erörtert. Unvergessen die Besuche von Jordan Mooney und Glen Matlock, sowie von Marco Pirroni, John Robb und Jah Wobble.
Gerne wollen wir uns nach dem Besuch von Marky Ramone und den Bildern von Bob Gruen nun wieder um Großbritannien und die Einflüsse Londons auf Düsseldorf kümmern. Die Konzerte von The Clash, Wire und 999 sind bis heute unvergessen und haben uns deutlich geprägt. Allerdings wären diese britischen Künstler kaum ohne die New York Dolls, Heartbreakers oder Television zur dieser Hochform aufgelaufen. All diese Einflüsse finden ihre ultimative Entsprechung in dem Buch 'PUNK' das am 24. Oktober im Omnibus Verlag erscheint und exklusiv bei uns präsentiert wird.
Zur Conference erwarten wir zahlreiche Gäste der musikalischen Geburtsstunde des Punk und im Rahmen der ELECTRI_CITY Conference wird es Talks, Buchpräsentationen und Acoustic-Sets sowie ein DJ-Set aus dem direkten The Clash-Umfeld geben.
Die Talks finden wie gewohnt in der Conference-Box des me and all Hotels statt und sind in englischer Sprache.
