This is event is presented as part of the UCLA Luskin Lecture Series in partnership with the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute.
The 2024 presidential election underscored the growing influence of Latino voters, solidifying their role as a crucial demographic in American politics. This panel brings together leading voices in politics, media, and advocacy to provide an overview of how Latino voters impacted the election results and what these outcomes mean for Latino communities across the United States.
Our discussion, moderated by Univision news anchor Jorge Ramos, will cover voter turnout trends, key issues motivating Latino voters, and the geographic and demographic factors influencing their choices. Additionally, the panel will explore the policies and political shifts resulting from the election and how they will likely affect Latino communities in areas such as immigration, healthcare, education, and economic opportunity.
