About Eleanor Dunsdon & Gregor Black
Eleanor Dunsdon & Gregor Black are a multi-award-winning Glasgow-based harp and percussion duo blending traditional music with jazz, folk, classical, and electronic influences. Taking inspiration from the vibrant Scottish folk-jazz scene, they aim to create a sound that explores the boundaries of traditional music using story-telling, themes of nature and the Irish language. Winners of the prestigious Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections and Purbeck Rising in 2024, the duo have performed at Celtic Connections in Glasgow, the Edinburgh International Harp Festival, were voted winners of the Introducing Stage at West Coast Folk Festival 2025, and sold out venues on their 2025 UK Spring Tour. They were recently appointed as Stoller Hall Emerging Artists and their debut EP, ‘Let No Man’ (April 2024) was named FATEA Magazine’s ‘EP of the Year 2024’, receiving airplay on BBC Radio 3 (‘Round Midnight, Soweto Kinch), BBC Radio 6 (Cerys Matthews), BBC Radio Ulster, BBC Radio Scotland and RTÉ Radio 1.
“A fantastic sound … smashing every stereotype there is” (Lynette Fay, BBC Radio Ulster)
“Stunning” (BBC Radio Scotland)
