Eldorado Canyon State Park Junior Ranger Program: Archery

Our award-winning Junior Ranger program engages with children to make an oath to protect their beloved state parks and share their ranger stories with friends and family. Eldorado Canyon State Park is looking for future young ambassadors of the park. The programs offer fun interactive outdoor games, learning activities, and fun crafts each with a unique theme. Children who attend the programs will earn their official Junior Ranger badge and certificate.

• For this event, we will learn the basic skills in archery with professional supervision in a fun and safe environment with the necessary archery equipment provided

• All levels welcomed NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• Please arrive a few minutes early, the program will begin promptly at 10:00 am; meet at the Crescent Meadows Trailhead at Gross Dam Rd, Golden, CO 80403 off the CO-72 towards the town of Pinecliffe

• This program is for children ages 8-12 with a parent and/or adult guardian required to be present

• Program admission is up to 8 children (NOT INCLUDING PARENTS)

• This event is free, no Colorado State Park's Pass required

• Restrooms are NOT available

• Please bring sunscreen, snacks, and dress for changing weather

• Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff, Irlanda and Pepper will be leading this program

• Colorado Parks and Wildlife waivers will need to be filled out by parents and will be provided before the event starts

• I will send a message to confirm the trip and remind participants to cancel if they can no longer attend, so those on the waitlist can join the program.
