About this Event

In honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, recognized annually in June, Empowered Aging invites Solano community seniors to a powerful interactive educational event. This half-day program features top experts in elder abuse prevention, mental health, and victim rights, providing timely and topical information for community members and high-quality, ongoing education for professionals working with older adults.

Older adults will walk away with actionable strategies and tactics to help protect themselves from abuse and a list of essential resources should they ever become victims of crime. Industry pros can join us for an excellent opportunity to hear from experts in aging, elder justice, mental health, law enforcement, and long-term care.

We urge you to join us and support our mission to make Solano County a safe haven for older and dependent adults! Reserve your spot now to be a part of this crucial initiative. Registration is required, and space is limited!

A big THANK YOU to our sponsors:

More About Empowered Aging's Elder and Adults with Disability Justice Program:

The Elder and Adults with Disability Justice Program facilitates access to the range of care and services often needed by abuse victims and their families. We act as a main point of contact for those who have experienced harm or mistreatment and coordinate personalized support for each individual.

Our services are available to victims of crime in Solano County:

  • Seniors who are 65 and older
  • Disabled adults who are 18-64 with mental and/or physical disabilities that require assistance from others for everyday activities and to protect their rights

Working with community partners, we help victims receive the support and services they need—which can range from counseling to compensation or rides to and from appointments. All services are free of charge.
