Her debut album, ‘Home,’ released in October 2021, earned nominations for the prestigious Choice Music Prize for both album and song of the year. The album's standout single, ‘No Forever (feat. MayKay),’ achieved 14 million impressions across Irish radio and reached No. 6 on the Viral 50 Ireland Spotify chart.Elaine Mai's career took a significant step forward in 2021 when she signed an exclusive publishing deal with Nick Halkes and his joint venture with Sentric Music Group. This partnership has opened new doors for collaboration, enhancing her profile on the international stage.
In addition to her solo work, Mai has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Pillow Queens, Daithí, and Loah. Her remix of Loah’s ‘Nothing’ reached number one in the Irish Radio Airplay Charts for independent songs and amassed over 1.1 million streams on Spotify. Her collaboration with MuRLi, ‘Ready,’ saw remixes by notable names such as Nick Reach Up, Dave Spoon (AKA Shadow Child), and Toolroom boss Mark Knight, further solidifying her reputation in the electronic music scene.
Mai's live performances are celebrated for their ambient, controlled house vibes, captivating audiences with her innovative soundscapes. This year, as well as releasing new music, she will be active on Ireland’s festival circuit, with performances at Beyond The Pale, Sea Sessions and All Together Now, culminating in her headline show at The Button Factory on Friday, November 22nd.
