About this Event

EL RINCÓN FLAMENCO SPECIAL
COMPÁS ABIERTO / OPEN COMPÁS

presented by Theatre Flamenco

An intimate and contemporary flamenco encounter in San Francisco, bringing together guest artists and local musicians in a shared space of rhythm, improvisation, and dialogue.

Compás Abierto / Open Compás features internationally acclaimed guest dancer Nino de los Reyes, the first flamenco dancer awarded a Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album (Antidote, with Chick Corea), known for his innovative work bridging flamenco, jazz, and contemporary music on stages around the world.

He is joined by dancer Triana Maciel, an expressive and grounded artist rooted in tradition while open to contemporary exploration and collaboration.

The evening is accompanied live by guitarist David McLean and singer TBA, creating a direct and organic dialogue between guitar, dance, and rhythm.

Also performing is Carola Zertuche, bringing her artistic voice and contemporary flamenco vision to the stage alongside the invited artists.
