Building a Creative Future: A Proposal for a Local Film Incentive in El Paso 2025, which includes:
• Local Film Incentive Program: 5–10% rebate for productions hiring local crews and spending locally.
• El Paso Short Film Micro-Grant: Annual grants supporting emerging filmmakers.
• Open Public Film Directory: Connecting filmmakers, vendors, and institutions.
Together we can:
• Create jobs for local crews and artists
• Boost our city’s economy
• Keep creative youth in El Paso
• Showcase our rich binational culture
• Compete with Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and New Mexico
