On the night of September 15, 1810 (early morning hours of Sept. 16) colloquial priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla along with Miguel y Josefa Domínguez, and Ignacio Allende y Juan Aldama, cried out to the people of Queretaro, “¡Viva la América y muera el mal gobierno!"
I’m feeling that burning my ears in these trying times we find ourselves in currently. So we’re bringing in a mariachi to have our grito heard loud and clear, and of course to hear some classic Mexican favorites. The trompo al carbón will be on the patio, my momma agreed to make a bunch of flan to sell, and our friends at Maracas Cocina Mexicana have agreed to help with libations!
Come party with us, outdoors, spaced out, and start practicing your grito today!
