El Fotografo de la 40

“El Fotógrafo de La 40” revela la historia del fotógrafo Pedro Aníbal Fuentes Berg, quien es enviado a tomar imágenes en la Cárcel clandestina de La 40, un centro de tortura creado durante la dictadura de Rafael Trujillo (1930-1961), en la República Dominicana. Fuentes Berg siente el inevitable compromiso de difundir internacionalmente estas imágenes para resaltar los horrores que vivieron los opositores dentro de la prisión y decide liberarlas, para que sean conocidas. Algunas de estas fotografías se convirtieron en íconos de la barbarie de la dictadura trujillista.

“The Photographer of the 40” reveals the story of photographer Pedro Aníbal Fuentes Berg, who is sent to take images in the clandestine Pr*son of" La 40", a torture center created during the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo (1930-1961), in the Dominican Republic. Fuentes Berg feels the inevitable commitment to disseminate these images internationally to highlight the horrors that the opponents experienced inside the Pr*son and decides to release them, so that they are known. Some of these photographs became icons of the barbarity of the Trujillo dictatorship.
