DJ Furia (Natalia Fures) is a tango dancer, teacher, manager and DJ with over 18 years of experience. She is the creator of “La Bicicleta Tango Club”, “Milonga Futura”, and “Fiesta Bailate Todo” in Buenos Aires. As a tango DJ, she has participated in numerous festivals and milongas around the world, such as: Ladys Tango Festival, La Viruta, Garufa Tango Fest, Buenos Aires Tango Festival, Milonga Parakultural, Misterio Tango, Mediterranean Tango Festival (Porec), F.E.T.E.S. Her sets can vary between traditional tango, tango nuevo and alternative tango, depending on the preferences of the audience or the type of milonga. Her favorite orchestras are: Anibal Troilo, Carlos Di Sarli and O.T. Misteriosa Buenos Aires.
***Class: Maria August***
The class will be level independent. You don't need to come with a partner.
Maria is based in Berlin, where she co-organizes and djs at the milongas El Contrapunto & La Luna Improvisada, as well as the Contrapunto Marathon. Her tango journey started in a self-organized group, where everyone learned both roles. In her teaching, she carries on this spirit of mutual respect and freedom to be ourselves.
***Regenbogenkino - a new venue for tango***
On other days, a space for cinema, concerts and swing dancing. Regenbogenkino is part of Regenbogenfabrik (rainbow factory), a children's, cultural and neighborhood center in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Squatted in 1981, it still forms part of the housing and tenant movement and is committed to building and maintaining self-managed, collective and emancipatory structures from below.
