Graduate and undergraduate students present a varied program comprising traditional opera scenes and a focus on midcentury American opera. This free event not only showcases brilliant student performances but also offers an in-depth look at how students approach an operatic role, develop musical skills and expand their repertoire. Hosted by Nicholas Carthy, Eklund Opera Program music director, scenes are fully staged with costumes and scenery. Come witness the liveliness and seriousness (but not too much) of opera!From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
