Eighthirty X Slayer: Latte Art Throwdown

In collaboration with Slayer & Eighthirty, Machine Ltd’s Barista Social Club brings a Latte Art Throwdown to Auckland on Wednesday 16 October!

Want to be one of the 16 competitors in the throwdown? You've come to the right place. There’s a $500 cash prize and Eighthirty coffee subscription to be won, plus a bunch of goodies for all competitors, and a heap of spot prizes.

The throwdown will be structured with four knock-out rounds:

Round 1: Spin the Wheel
Spin the wheel for this round's pattern

Round 2: Stacked Up
The tulip with the most stacks wins

Round 3: Get Real
Make an order of two drinks and run them to the judging panel, judges are looking for a tidy pour and smooth delivery without spills!

Round 4: Free Pour Final
You do you!

You’ll be working on a Slayer Steam EP. We’ll have a designated shotmaker on the night, so all you need to worry about is your latte art! Coffees will be judged on look, not taste. You’ll be steaming Lewis Road Creamery’s Jersey Milk.

Food and drinks will be available from Open Coffee, and extra goodies will be up for grabs from Lewis Road Creamery and Acme.

Entry is free for both competitors and spectators, so grab a mate and head down to Open Coffee on Wednesday 16 October, from 5pm. Catch ya there!
