Eight24 Cohort 1 Graduation — DC Dream Center
About this Event
Four men. Twelve weeks. The first close of the Eight24 model.
On May 4, 2026, Cohort 1 walked into the DC Dream Center and started a 12-week HVAC program built for the people most workforce systems miss. On August 21, they walk out with credentials that get them hired EPA 608, NOCTI, and access to NATE certification testing in the same room they trained in.
This isn't just a graduation. It's the first time an Eight24 cohort closes on the full model — VR-delivered technical training, in-person facilitation, credentials that employers respect, and the beginning of a six-month placement and retention commitment.
You're invited if:
- You hire tradespeople and want to meet the men finishing
- You run a workforce program, reentry program, or CTE pathway and want to see the model in action
- You've funded a piece of this work — publicly or otherwise — and want to see what it built
- You care about what happens in this part of DC and want to be in the room
- You're family. Especially if you're family.
What to expect:
A ceremony recognizing the graduates, remarks from the Eight24 team and partners, time to meet the men finishing the program, and light refreshments.
