Aberdeen Muslims; in partnership with Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic Centre, Masjid Alhikmah and Community Centre, Syed Shah Mustafa Mosque and Aberdeen Turkish Education and Cultural Centre, are proud to present the Eid at the Beach event.Eid at the Beach will start with a ‘Call to Prayer’ with the Muslims of Aberdeen praying together at 10am, the event is then opened up to the wider community for Eid party from 11am onwards. The Eid party will have a mixture of world food, BBQ, large kids zone with variety of activities; henna painting, fireworks and interesting information stalls about Islam. It is the first event of this kind at any beach in the UK. As part of the fun day, we will be working in partnership with Muslim Charity to raise as much money as possible for the people of Gaza.
We expect there to be between 2000-3000 visitors throughout the day.
Due to the nature of the Islamic Calendar, it being based on the moon cycles, the date of the event cannot be confirmed until ten days prior, however it is known that the day will fall either on Sunday 16th June 2024 or Monday 17th June 2024.
This will be confirmed by Monday 10th June.
