EFFECTIVELY MANAGING PROBLEM EMPLOYEES (and Low Productivity Team Members)

TOPIC: Today law enforcement agencies are facing greater challenges and scrutiny than ever before. There can be no tolerance of low and poor performing staff.

Problem employees steal energy, time and focus from you, your team and the people you serve! If you are spending a great amount of your time, energy and frustration on your least productive and most trouble causing employees, then you don’t want to miss this workshop.

Effectively Managing Problem Employees will teach you….

• The games problem employees play, and why they play them.

• Why you often lose.

• How you can outplay, outwit and out last your problem children.

• How to successfully address low-productivity employees

• How to improve accountability at the organizational and supervisory levels of your agency.

You will learn what games that are actually being played and why problem employees are motivated to play these games. You will also learn how to turn many of the negatives into positives for your team.

In addition, participants will learn:

• How to strengthen your team in spite of the influences of problem employees.

• How to interpret body language and other key communication concepts.

• How to regain your serenity in the middle of the problem child’s game.

• Effective and practical methods for addressing problem employees and low productivity team members.

DETAILS:

• This is an online Zoom Meeting program. It is a live, interactive workshop and participants will be required to have their cameras and microphones on and be able to be seen for the entire time.

• Between the two sessions you will be asked to do some “homework” designed to increase your effectiveness in dealing with problem employees. That work will be discussed in the second session.

• Each session is two hours in length – four hours total for the two sessions.

• Registration is limited to 50 participants on a first come-first served basis.

TARGET AUDIENCE: All members of the criminal justice community (sworn or non-sworn). Training is especially valuable for those in supervisory positions.
