Course Overview

Topics covered in this course

Becoming Proficient in Public Speaking

Over the course of this programme, participants will actually learn to be speakers – how to feel comfortable with themselves on stage and how to work with audiences so that they absorb the information as they work their way through the presentation.

Adapting to Audiences

In this session participants will learn how to customise their speeches for an audience. With prompting and instruction, they can compose content that will strike a familiar chord with their target audience.

Using Resources Effectively

Within this course, participants are given tools and strategies to best present their material in light of whatever resources or environment they encounter. They learn what might be needed by an audience, and are prepared to adapt.

Creating Appropriate Presentations

This session provides the opportunity for citizens to learn from professionals, via dialogue. Participants will acquire tips on how to exploit new media and tools to expand their visibility and leverage influence, so they can reach more people.

Develop your presentation style

In this session we invite communication professionals to guide participants about how to maximise their reach with an updated media format. Participants will be equipped with the communication tools of our time by the end of the session.

Summary of the Workshop

By the end of this course, participants will know the concepts, and will know what questions to ask. Finally, particiapnts are invited to devise their own action plans that will guide them to success, in whatever field you are pursuing.
