EEK A MOUSE
Ludicrous, bizarre and uniquely original, few entertainers have had such a profound effect on the reggae dancehall scene as Eek A Mouse.
Revered for his wit and humour, biting social commentary and infectious energy, Eek A Mouse became a household name in Jamaica through his signature vocal style called ‘sing jaying’ a combination of toasting and singing with a strong percussive element
His high-pitched vocal style would set him apart from his peers, but what truly elevates him above the rest is the quality of his melodies and music.
DAWN PENN
Dawn Penn is a Grammy nominated Artist of the original queens of reggae music. First female reggae artist to perform at the BET Awards and a native of Kingston, Jamaica, she grew up in a musical family, studying piano, classical violin and performing with her sisters Pat and Audrey in churches. Her first recording “When I’m Gonna Be Free” was in 1966. She then recorded for the legendary Coxsone Dodd at Studio One and her first hit came in 1967 with the title “You Don’t Love Me – No, No, No”, one of the most famous reggae hits of all-time which has been covered by countless artists around the world including Beyonce, Rihanna, Sean Paul, Wu-Tang Clan, Eve, J Millz and Lily Allen to name a few.
TIPPA IRIE is a British reggae singer and DJ from Brixton, London. He first came to prominence in the early 1980s as an MC on the South London reggae soundsystem Saxon Studio International.
He first achieved national exposure on night-time BBC Radio 1 in the mid-1980s, with the singles "It's Good To Have The Feeling You're The Best" and "Complain Neighbour" (on Greensleeves Records), before achieving a UK Top 40 hit in 1986 with "Hello Darling".
He has collaborated with Alexander O'Neal, Long Beach Dub All Stars, The Skints, and Chali 2na. He enjoyed further success in 2003, when he appeared on The Black Eyed Peas' track "Hey Mama" He has also collaborated with the London-based avant-dancehall outfit The Bug, on the single "Angry" from the album London Zoo.

He will continue the following year with Prince Buster who will find him the name of Little Roy !
The success comes in 1969 with Bongo Nyah for the producer Lloyd Daley with whom he will make several titles. He founded his label "Tafari (2)" in 1972 and later the "Earth (4)" Label.
After immigrating to the USA he ended up settling in the UK, he still performs on stage today.
EARL 16
Earl Sixteen was introduced to Lee Perry at the Black Ark studio, where Earl sang a few songs. Some of these would be released as singles by the Upsetter label, including ‘Freedom’ and ‘Cheating’. As Earl Sixteen’s involvement with Rasta culture grew deeper, most of his work would be based on roots, reality and spiritual themes
Earl Sixteen’s solo career continued growing in the late 70s and early 80s, as he sang for reggae luminaries such as Augustus Pablo, Mikey Dread, Earl Morgan from The Heptones, Linval Thompson, and the Ray Symbolic Sound System by Ranking Joe and Jah Screw.
One Earl Sixteen’s most popular songs – ‘Love is a feeling’ – was an instant classic released in 1982 on a Studio One 7-inch single. In 1985, Coxsone Dodd released the ‘Earl Sixteen Showcase’ album, featuring a superb collection of songs that Earl had recorded at Studio One in the earlier years.
