The IEEE EMBS AIUB Student Branch Chapter is going to host a seminar titled "EEG Signal Processing & Application to the Neurofeedback: Operant Conditioning of Brain and Behaviors" in collaboration with the IEEE AIUB Student Branch and Center for Biomedical Research (CBR) of Dr. Anwarul Abedin Institute of Innovation on the 22nd of June 2023.Biomedical engineering is an incredibly vast and crucial field of engineering that plays a vital role in improving and saving lives. It involves the integration of engineering principles into medical applications, leading to groundbreaking inventions. One remarkable example of biomedical engineering is Electroencephalography (EEG) signals, which are extensively utilized in both clinical and research settings.
EEG signals involve the measurement of electrical activity produced by large groups of neurons in the brain. This is achieved by using EEG sensors attached to the scalp, enabling the collection of valuable information about brain activities. This process is commonly referred to as "Neurofeedback" and provides insights into the operant conditioning of the brain, particularly in relation to various emotional states.
