Transform real-world problems into empowering opportunities for learning-centered exploration.
About this Event

Engineering has the potential to empower students of all ages to ideate solutions to real-world problems in their communities! This session provides educators with strategies to position their students as engineering and problem solving experts who can use their skills to make positive change.

Join us on February 28th at 8:30 am to explore examples of NGSS aligned activities that support students to prototype, test, and refine engineering solutions to environmental, accessibility, and public health challenges. Activities can span grade-levels and subject areas. Participants will work with one another to brainstorm localized, real-world issues that their students tackle during classroom instruction using engineering and design challenge learning.

Educators will also explore additional opportunities for students to engage in design challenge learning outside the classroom, including participating in the Tech Challenge and exploring how Tech for Global Good fellows use engineering to create innovative solutions to global problems.
