Thank you for choosing to use your corporate volunteering day to give something back to nature. NatureScot are looking forward to welcoming you to Clyde Valley Woodlands National Nature Reserve.

Time: 10:30 – 15:30

Location: ML11 7RH is the nearest postcode. Parking is limited to 6 cars so lift share is advised. Lanark train station is a short drive away. For full directions and public transport and active travel options look at the reserve information and leaflet

Toilets: There are no toilets on site. There are toilets in Tesco in Lanark and may be toilets in Morrisons.

Fitness/accessibility information: Clyde Valley Woodlands National Nature Reserve is made up of six of the best gorge woodlands along the Clyde Valley.

Participants should be aware that at times the paths run alongside steep slopes, unfenced cliffs and deep rivers. The path can be narrow and muddy in places.

Task: Woodland Monitoring, sapling removal, possible drainage works. No prior experience needed.

Please bring: wellies or boots and waterproofs, snacks, drinks and lunch. Dress for the weather, including sun cream if needed. You may like to bring walking poles, binoculars, notebook and pen and any ID guides or books you have for trees or woodland.

We will provide: tools, and gloves tbc.

Please note: dogs are permitted on the reserve but please do not bring your dog to the volunteering day.

Risk Assessment: this will be emailed to all registered participants in the days leading up to the event. Please familiarise yourself with it before attending.
