Education Is KEY: Incident Command Course
Strong incident command saves lives. Join us for a full-day Incident Command course led by Battalion Chief (Ret.) Mickey Tofexis, a nationally recognized fire service instructor with nearly three decades of experience.
This classroom-based course is designed to strengthen leadership, improve tactical decision-making, and reinforce the core principles of effective incident command. Through real-world examples and interactive group discussion, participants will examine command presence, size-up, resource management, accountability, and communication across a variety of emergency incidents.
Whether you're an aspiring company officer, a current leader, or simply looking to sharpen your command skills, this course provides practical knowledge that can be applied on every response.
Lunch is provided, and registration is free. Space is limited to 50 attendees.

Incident Command Fundamentals
Host: Mickey Tofexis
Info: Battalion Chief (Ret.) Mickey Tofexis is a 28-year veteran of the fire service with extensive experience in emergency operations, leadership, and incident command. During his career with Miramar Fire Rescue, he served as Driver Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief. Mickey holds a Bachelor's degree in Fire Administration and Associate degrees in EMS and Fire Science. A nationally recognized instructor, he has taught at fire conferences across the country, served as President of the South Florida F.O.O.L.S., and currently delivers Incident Command training through Tenacity Saves Lives. He is also the host of The Why Project 911 podcast and a consultant for Fire-Tec Inc.
