E.DSO FutureGrid Innovation Summit

Registrations are now open for the 1st edition of the FutureGrid Innovation Summit “Advancing grid innovation: growing ideas into impact”, organised by the Association of European Distribution System Operators (E.DSO) in Brussels on 6 February 2025.
Electricity Distribution System Operators (DSOs) play a pivotal role in driving innovation within the energy system. Revolutionary, cutting-edge technologies requiring massive investments are being developed to meet the 2030 (and beyond) climate objectives and enable a smarter energy system. Moreover, a comprehensive and forward-looking regulatory and policy landscape is being established to facilitate the deployment of these technological advances. This wave of innovation and digitalisation is fundamental to increasing competitiveness in alignment with the EU’s strategic goals, securing the smartness and reliability of distribution grids and enhancing customer empowerment.
The E.DSO 1st ‘FutureGrid Innovation Summit’ aims at gathering more than 200 representatives from the industry, companies, associations, EU institutions, projects, NGOs and Member States. As part of the Summit, the ‘Innovation Sparks’ exhibition will showcase impactful technologies and EU-funded projects, generating change and making a significant impact on society. The will be also announced at the event.
The event is organised with the Sponsorship of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and in partnership with EnergyVille. The draft programme will be disclosed very soon on the event website.
