Edmonton Jazz Alley: Taking to the Street - The Jeremiah McDade Quartet

We are excited to announce that Edmonton’s premier Jazz Alley has returned for another tremendous season.

Take advantage of the warm summer weather by listening to your favorite jazz music while enjoying mouthwatering bratwurst and refreshing beer from Blindman Brewing. Make sure to take your family and friends to connect, chat, and relax in the comfortable ambience of the newly renovated 9319 118 Ave Alley. This summer, we have performances by The Underdogs Trio, The Evergreen Trio, Biboye, The Jim Findlay Trio, The Jeremiah McDade Quartet, Tony Flanagan, Audrey Ochoa, Leesila Dawkins, Sean Croal and the Gareth Gilliland Trio.

August 1 | The Jeremiah McDade Quartet

Jeremiah McDade is a Juno Award winning saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger. Jeremiah graduated with high distinction from McGill University’s Jazz Performance program and received a distinguished alumni award from MacEwan University. He frequently tours throughout North America and Europe with his group, The McDades, as well as collaborating and recording with many different artists. As a side man, Jeremiah has performed on five Juno- nominated recordings, amongst dozens of others, as well as performing on multiple film scores. Jeremiah was a featured soloist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in 2012, 2014 and 2016 and he performs regularly with big bands in Alberta including the Edmonton Jazz Orchestra and the Calgary Creative Arts Ensemble. Jeremiah teaches saxophone, violin, and wind instruments from around the world privately and as a sessional instructor at MacEwan University.
