About this Event

The Citadel Theatre is one of Canada's most important and celebrated regional theatres. It was opened in November 1976, having been designed by architects Barton Myers and R.L. Wilkin. The tour is intended to reveal to the participants both the front of house and back of house features including the four performance venues and the back of house facilities necessary for their operations. The tour wil be guided by Citadel staff and architect David Murray who worked on the design and construction of the building. There will be a discussion of the important intellectual link to renown 20th C. American architects, Louis Kahn and Charles and Ray Eames.
