Edith Pageaud LIVE in Concert at Kuumbwa Jazz Center

The ‘Guitarra en Fisterra’ series comes to downtown Santa Cruz for a special evening at the iconic Kuumbwa Jazz Center. The beloved listening room known for its exceptional acoustics and intimate concert experiences will set the stage for world-class classical guitar performance.

French guitarist Edith Pageaud is a compelling and rising artist on today’s international classical guitar scene. A winner of renowned awards and competions including the Roland Dyens International, she is a dynamic and soulful performer with a balance of drama and precision that keeps audiences rapt. Offering an intimate yet powerful classical guitar program, Pageaud appeals to music lovers of every genre.

Pageaud began playing guitar at age seven and quickly rose through national competitions before entering the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. She earned her Diplôme d’Études Musicales at just fourteen under Gérard Abiton, later expanding her artistic perspective through studies in philosophy before returning to music full-time. She has since continued advanced studies with Atanas Ourkouzounov.

In addition to her performing career, Pageaud is an active educator and arranger, known for her nuanced transcriptions of piano works by composers such as Rachmaninov, Scriabin, and Brahms, bringing new depth and texture to the classical guitar repertoire.

Presented as part of the ongoing 'Guitarra en Fisterra' series with South Bay Guitar Society, this concert offers a rare opportunity to experience an internationally acclaimed young artist in one of Santa Cruz’s most respected and intimate venues.
