Talentingoji Yaël Rasooly ir jos lėlė Edith (Piaf) kartu pristato jaudinančią autobiografinę istoriją, kurioje susipina pasakojimas ir daina. Jos dalijasi ir sujungia balsą, kūną ir dalelę savo istorijos; gyvenimo ir meilės (nesėkmingos) istorijos. Taigi, visiškai natūralu, kad scenoje abi moterys susijungia ir atsiskleidžia unisonu. Neprarasdamos aistros ar humoro, per meną jos susigrąžina savo gyvenimą ir balsą.

„Kurdama šį spektaklį, nusprendžiau daryti tai, ką visada darau tiek mene, tiek gyvenime – paversti asmeninį skausmą, traumą, baimę, netektį ir neteisybę menu, kuris paliečia kitus. Papasakoti šią istoriją taip, kad kiekvienas žiūrovas galėtų atpažinti dalelę savęs ir suprastų – jis nėra vienas. Norėjau atkreipti dėmesį į šias temas ir paskatinti dialogą.
Tai taip pat tikra istorija apie tai, kaip Edita Piaf išgelbėjo mano gyvenimą.
„Edita ir aš“ yra trečioji dalis trilogijoje, kurią kuriu jau penkiolika metų ir kuri nagrinėja smurtą prieš moteris ir vaikus. The talented Yaël Rasooly and her puppet Edith (Piaf) come together to present a moving autobiographical story where narrative and song intertwine. They share and merge their voices, bodies, and fragments of their past—stories of life and (unsuccessful) love. It is only natural, then, that on stage, the two women become one, revealing themselves in perfect unison. Without losing their passion or humor, they reclaim their voices and their lives through art.

"In creating this performance, I chose to do what I have always done—both in art and in life—to transform personal pain, trauma, fear, loss, and injustice into art that resonates with others. To tell this story in a way that allows each viewer to recognize a piece of themselves and understand—they are not alone. I wanted to shed light on these themes and spark dialogue.
This is also a true story about how Édith Piaf saved my life.
