The Prize was first awarded in 1879 and lists numerous Nobel and Lasker prize winners amongst its subsequent awardees.
In 2024, the Prize was awarded to Prof Ian Frazer for his work on HPV virus-like particles that led to the world’s first vaccine for cervical cancer.
