Printing spread slowly through Scotland, and by the middle of the nineteenth century had become one of its most significant industries, with Edinburgh as a centre for book printing.

This guided walk will visit some of the significant sites associated with the printing and publishing industries in Edinburgh's Old Town, highlighting some of the traces left by this industry's 500 year history.
