EDIE for Family Carers - Hawthorn - VIC

This session enhances knowledge of dementia through virtual reality technology that allows participants to see the world through the eyes of a person living with dementia. 

You will gain knowledge in:

• the perspective and needs of a person living with dementia
• effective communication
• environmental changes to support a person to live well with dementia.

Suitable for: Family carers and family members of people living with dementia who reside in Australia.

This program is not suitable for professional carers or people employed in the health or aged care industries. The resources, content and delivery will not meet the needs of professionals. Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. This session is delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.
