Join the Office of EDI for EDIDA in Action, an opportunity to learn, connect and share ideas with colleagues committed to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization and accessibility across Western.
This session will feature a spotlight on the Faculty of Science, showcasing initiatives that supports student learning and advance EDIDA within the faculty.
The Office of EDI will also provide an overview of the upcoming annual EDIDA calendar, including key dates, events and engagement opportunities for the year ahead. In addition, attendees will receive a preview of the draft EDIDA Strategic Plan Progress Report and learn more about the progress being made across campus.
This session is open to all EDIDA Committee members, faculty, staff and leaders committed to advancing the EDIDA Strategic Plan within their units. Whether you are looking to learn from a unit success story, connect with colleagues or stay informed about upcoming EDIDA initiatives, this session offers valuable opportunities for engagement and discussion.

Info: Pamela Doxtator is a Career Services Office with the Master of Environment and Sustainability at the Faculty of Science. . She integrates inclusive leadership principles, cultural competency training, and Indigenous Allyship into teaching and professional development, equipping graduate students to effectively and respectfully engage, ally, and lead in their academics, workplace, and communities. Hafsa Ahmed is a graduate student from the program who will share her experience related to the EDIDA integrated learning impacts.
