Graham Towerton, a permaculture designer, will be our guest at a workshop all about permaculture intended for the whole family.
By learning about permaculture, kids discover how to work with nature to create sustainable, self-sufficient systems that support plant growth.
This approach teaches them how to care for the environment while growing food that nourishes both their bodies and the earth. Planting edible landscaping—like fruit trees, berry bushes, and vegetable gardens—around their homes gives kids the hands-on experience of nurturing plants that will eventually become the ingredients in their meals.
It transforms their surroundings into living, edible ecosystems, and teaches them the value of sustainability, responsibility, and patience as they watch their gardens grow.
Plus, they are going to learn about permaculture as a career!
This event is hosted by Freedom Kitchen and is free for the community. Please RSVP as GOING is you plan to attend and reach out with any questions.
