We are thrilled to announce the new Project of SceneScape: Art CollectiveGod of Fire: A Gothic Night!
In this Workshop:
We will work with the Short stories of Edgar Allan Poe, Turning Them into a Performance (Around a Bonfire, if the weather allows us)
You can expect acting and storytelling exercises, an opportunity to make and recycle props, and a recorded public performance.
Date of the Workshop: 7 occasions of Fridays (March 28th, April 4th,18th,25th, May 2nd,9th and 23rd) + The Performance
Time: 19:00 to 21:00.
Location: Szendvicsbar community hub.
In order to sustain the project and the community place, we ask for a participation Fee of 14000 HUF for the seven occasions (2000/occasion) paid at once.
There is a possibility of a scholarship for three people who can't afford it ( Under some conditions, if you can't afford the fee, contact me for the information)
Facilitator:
Maria: Budapest-based Egyptian Actress & Theatre Artist
Mariam is an actress and theatre artist passionate about storytelling, community-driven performances, and pushing creative boundaries. She thrives on challenging herself with new techniques, exploring different performance styles, and stepping outside her comfort zone to grow as an artist.
She has performed in English and Arabic, from monodramas to classical and experimental theatre. Some of her most meaningful roles include Every Brilliant Thing and Set El-Donia and performances with Tanta University and Al Shams Theatre for inclusive arts.
Beyond acting, Mariam engages deeply with theatre as a space for exploration and self-discovery. She founded SceneScape Art Collective to experiment with storytelling and home theatre, always seeking new ways to connect with audiences and expand her craft.
