Edgar Breau (Simply Saucer) live at LOLA August 15!

Edgar Breau, founder and frontman of iconic Canadian band Simply Saucer and acclaimed solo artist, is heading back to Kensington Market. Edgar will be drawing from his vast catalogue of songs to create an evening of music that touches all points on the sonic and emotional spectrums. Moving with ease from sublime melody to visceral disonance, often in the same song, he'll be playing tunes from Simply Saucer's landmark album Cyborgs Revisited and more, plus tracks from his extensive solo career. The songs from his singer-songwriter period have been decribed as "roots music", which is apt if those roots include psychedelia, acadian folk, proto-punk, blues rock, southern gothic, French literature and much more. Edgar's a singular talent, wandering to wherever his restless creative curiosity takes him, and coming back with music that is powerful and wholly unique. His great backing band, Jesse Visser and Aaron Knight, will be joining him on this journey Saturday August 15 at LOLA. Not to be missed.
