EDC Summer Social Tour

Please join us for a special evening designed to bring EDC members together! Each tour is limited to 18 members so RSVP is required.

Please join us Wednesday, August 12, for a special evening designed to bring EDC members together, strengthen relationships across our region, and experience member organizations contributing to the forward momentum of Western Mass.

The evening begins with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of The Republican and MassLive Media’s packaging and printing operation. As a founding member and longtime EDC partner, The Republican is opening its doors to give members a firsthand look at an impressive operation happening right here in Springfield.

Two 45-minute tours will be offered:

• 4:30 p.m.

• 5:30 p.m.

Each tour is limited to just 18 members, and reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Whether you take the tour or not, we want you to join us at White Lion Brewing’s PrideLands, located at 1477 Main Street, for our EDC Summer Member Social.

There is no formal agenda. This is dedicated time to connect with fellow members, build relationships across organizations and communities, and continue breaking down the silos that can prevent our region from moving forward together.

Already toured The Republican? Prefer to skip the tour? Did both tour times fill before you registered? Please still come directly to Pridelands. The tour is a special opportunity, but bringing our members together is the most important part of the evening.

We also encourage you to reach out to another EDC member and make plans to attend together. The more members who participate, the stronger our relationships become and the more effectively we can work together for Western Massachusetts.

PARKING - Parking is available at the EDC offices or in The Republican’s fenced parking lot at 1860 Main Street. The parking entrance is on Emery Street, directly across from Freedom Credit Union. You are welcome to park at either location and make the short walk between The Republican and Pridelands.

Tour groups will meet at The Republican’s employee entrance, located to the left of the fishpond when facing the north side of the building. Look for the entrance surrounded by glass windows. Someone will be there to welcome you and help you find your way.
