ECSTATIC DANCE COLUMBUS AND RECIPROCITY MUSIC PRESENTS: CACAO DANCE WITH MOSEMose is coming to Columbus, OH for the first time ever and will be playing in the beautiful space known as COTSU! This exciting event will kick off with local support opening up the evening. Mose's partner Bruna Bortolato will be bringing the magic and heart medicine of cacao from Guatemala, where Mose and Bruna are based out of. Mose's 2 hour dance set will follow after the ceremony with cacao and will be filled with multicultural rhythms, sacred chants and a steady hypnotic beat.

Welcome to the transformative realm of Cacao Dance. As you step onto the dance floor, embrace the intentional container that encourages silence, creating a sacred space for a deep and immersive journey. The ceremony preceding the dance is led by the beautiful Bruna Bortolato alongside Mose, invoking intention, gratitude, and prayer. This ceremonial prelude lays the groundwork for a profound and spiritually charged dance experience.
Cacao Dance is more than just movement; it's a conscious exploration to connect with oneself and community. The dance unfolds with a deliberate arc, starting slow and spacious, allowing participants to attune to the music and let their bodies intuitively guide their movements. The overarching goal is to transcend the mental chatter, diving deep into the heart, embodying the emotions alive in the present moment. The dance reaches a climactic peak, pulsating with full-power energy before gracefully winding down to a slower, softer pace for integration.
This alcohol-free container draws inspiration from ancient shamanic practices of entering trance, offering a space for profound insight and personal evolution. The intention is clear: to foster a connection with oneself, community, nature, and spirit in support of the greater collective evolution. General Admission: $44.44 (until September 11th)
Day of show: $55.55 (September 12th)
This is an all ages event, but we ask that you do not bring any young ones who do not want to be there. That parents are taking FULL responsibility and tracking their young ones throughout the night. Including protecting their ears if need be! Only bring little ones that will benefit from joining you in this experience. Ages 12 and older must have a ticket.

-Tickets can be transferred to others. The original ticket buyer must send their QR code to the new buyer and exchange money amongst themselves.
NO ALCOHOL:
This is a no alcohol event in correspondence with the vision of creating a present, vibrant community and experience.
ABOUT MOSE:
Mose is based in Guatemala where cacao ceremonies and ecstatic dance have had a major influence on his productions and DJ style. It is here that he founded regular cacao dances where members of the community have the opportunity to journey deep into dance while held in a ceremonial container, free of alcohol.
Mose blends multicultural rhythms and sacred chants, often improvising with live musicians to create immersive, site-specific experiences. Viewing his craft as a spiritual practice, he sets a foundation for self discovery and the cultivation of a present minded state which offers new insights and deeper clarity in one's purpose.
When he is not touring the world or playing these special events in Guatemala, he spends his time going into extended periods of retreat and silence, only to emerge with a deeper, truer and more refined sound. He also supports other emerging artists through his record label Resueño with an intention to bring resonant souls together to create music that uplifts and inspires. The label transcends any particular cultural aesthetic and explores a universal vibration through weaving sounds and languages from around the world. It is also a vehicle for social causes as 22% of all label profits are donated to causes around the world to help those most in need.
ABOUT FRANKO HEKE:
Influenced by Xavier Rudd, Michael Jackson, Guns N' Roses, Cat Stevens, Krishna Das, and Metallica, Franko's music career has taken him on tours across Japan and the USA. He transitioned from a rock'n'roll lifestyle to a more mindful approach, embracing meditation, yoga, and breathwork. This change led him to create NZ Spirit & Resolution festivals, alcohol-free, family-oriented events that celebrate community wellness with holistic workshops and music.
He's toured with artists like Xavier Rudd, Mose and shared stages with Donavon Frankenreiter, spreading a message of connection and harmony. Heke is more than just a musician; he’s a catalyst for unity, celebrating our connections to each other and Mother Earth, and his message is reaching audiences far and wide. Through his music and workshops, Franko seeks to raise consciousness and promote unity, drawing on his Māori heritage and ancient mantras.
ABOUT KOFDROP:
Kofdrop is one of the resident DJs and event organizers for Ecstatic Dance Columbus. He has traveled across the country to play at various ecstatic dances, festivals and events. He has shared the stage with Liquid Bloom, Equanimous, Savej, Mystic Grizzly and now will be opening for Mose! He values community, connections, dance and high vibe events!

Ecstatic Dance Columbus (EDC) is a community and collective that organizes and holds weekly ecstatic dances every Sunday at 1pm at COTSU. Featuring talented local and traveling DJs, the sober dances feature no words, no phones, no substances, no shoes and emphasize consent on the dance floor.
