We're thrilled to announce the return of Ed Hough's Allman Bros. Collective for a third year to play a classic Allman Brothers album from start to finish.
And this year, they've picked a great one: "At Fillmore East."
Tickets are on sale now.
With scorching live renditions of “Statesboro Blues" and “Whipping Post," this 1971 Allman Bros. record has become a beloved live album among their fans. More than 50 years later, Baltimore's own Ed Hough has assembled an all-star lineup of musicians to perform “At Fillmore East" in its entirety – along with other Allman favorites and deep cuts Nov. 15 at The Recher.
The band includes Ed and Mike Gambone on drums, John Ginty on keys, John Arthur on guitar, Dave Markowitz on bass, and Bobby Thompson on guitar.
Ed brought together a similar lineup in 2022 and 2023 for the 50th anniversary of the Allman Bros' albums, "Eat a Peach” and “Brothers and Sisters.”
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday Nov. 15 at The Recher, 512 York Road in Towson. All Ages.
Last year’s show sold out in advance so get your tickets in advance!
About the band:
Ed Hough - Drums and Vocals
As a founding member of Smooth Kentucky, The Bridge, and the Cris Jacobs Band, Ed has been an influential part of the Baltimore music scene for decades. He fronts his own Collective projects paying tribute to The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band and the soon-to-be-released Gospel Celebration. He appears on dozens of albums playing drums, guitar, dobro and backing vocals.
John Ginty - Keyboards
A founding member of Robert Randolph’s Family Band and a member of the Allman-Betts Band, John Ginty rode a quick rise to stardom; as a touring member with Jewel. Most recently, Ginty showcased his exceptional work as a keyboardist on a world tour in 2016-17 with the Dixie Chicks. Dozens of album appearances, both as a musician and producer, mark Ginty’s 30-year career, including with notable artists such as Santana and Citizen Cope. His time with Randolph garnered two Grammy nominations, while backing The Blind Boys of Alabama’s Grammy-winning effort, Higher Ground.
John Arthur - Guitar
For nearly 40 years, John Arthur has been entertaining audiences with his soulful expression and unique intuitive improvisational style. As the founding member and lead guitarist of Blue Miracle, his solo and collaborative songwriting projects, John infuses his performances with a distinctive sound, drawing inspiration from guitar legends like Carlos Santana and Dickey Betts. Blue Miracle’s debut album was produced by the renowned Johnny Sandlin, known for his work with the Allman Brothers.
Dave Markowitz - Bass
A Maryland native, Dave toured the country and abroad since 2004 with Baltimore's The Bridge. Playing alongside his Bridge brothers and others in many different iterations, Dave has been entertaining music lovers for over 20 years in many different original and tribute bands.
Bobby Thompson - Guitar and Vocals
Winner of a 2018 Washington Area Music Association Award for Best Blues Album, Bobby Thompson has fronted bands like Blueheart Revival and Revelator Hill, and been a sideman for artists such as Justin Jones (930 Club Records), Laura Tsaggaris, and toured with SOJA.
Mike Gambone - Drums
Longtime drummer for The Bridge, Mike Gambone is a go-to session player and music instructor and a vital part of Baltimore’s music scene.
