“ED” Fundraiser Happy Hour

Join us as Native-Houstonian Actor Michael Vincent Berry (Law and Order SVU, Better Call Saul, Waco: The Aftermath, The Cleaning Lady, THEM, Outer Range) launches his inaugural screenplay “ED.”
A short film that begins principal photography the first week of September in New Mexico, “ED” is a brutally raw exploration about how men slowly detach and disappear from their own lives when the life they imagined or society expected, didn’t turn out as planned. Its universal themes of detachment, addiction, and the ways in which we cope are incredibly relevant across all audiences. Told thru the eyes of an aging LGBTQIA+ man, the film is an important story rarely told in the community. Set in a run down rent-by-the-hour motel on Christmas Eve, “ED” is a compelling and painful short film that examines some of the very darkest parts of the human condition, and provides the opportunity for hope, change and reconciliation for a father and his children.
Come support Michael in this endeavor along with friends, family and members of the Arts and LGBTQIA+ communities of Houston. Food, Drinks, Silent Auction and multiple sponsorship opportunities including Fractured Atlas, a 501 c3 organization that allows tax write-off opportunities where available.
